The New Process for Buying [updated]:
This may be your first time, or thousandth time buying silver. That doesn't mean the whole ordeal doesn't feel foreign and new. As we have been for the last 30 years, we are here and happy to help in any way we can. We know this is hard, as it has been a difficult transition and decision for us as well. Let us know if we can make it any easier or safer for you.
Update: We are now accepting cash, so a local bank check is not necessary.
Step One: Call Us
We are happily answering phones from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. We can answer any of your questions, or take an order if you are ready to buy or sell. Our number is 406-752-2646. We are receiving a large amount of calls, so our three lines are busy and you can't get through, just try back in about 10 minutes.
Step Two: Lock in and schedule an appointment
When you are ready to buy, call ahead and place an order. We will lock you in on a price when you call. You can pay with cash or check:
- Check: Drop off a check on the same day through the slot in our front door. We will wait a week for the check to fully clear the account, and then call and schedule a time where you can pick up the bullion. The whole time, you are locked in on the price, so you are not at risk of the price changing.
- Cash: Simply bring the cash with you to the timed appointment you made on the phone. We will count the cash and then exchange the gold or silver with you in the alley on the same day.
When you call in, we will also send you a picture of your invoice, either via text or email.
Step Three: Your Appointment
Coins and Carats is now curbside! It will likely be the easiest buying experience you have had with us ever! When your appointment time comes, simply drive down the alley (in the direction of 2nd street to 3rd street), but please stay in your car for our safety and yours. We will run out the gold and silver and also count the money if you are using cash.
